COUNCILMEMBER BRAD MCKITRICK WITHDRAWS APPLICATION
FOR AT-LARGE VACANCY
AKRON, Ohio, April 20th, 2026 — Councilmember Brad McKitrick has formally withdrawn his application for the at-large vacancy on the Akron City Council.
In withdrawing his application, Councilmember McKitrick extended his sincere best wishes to the remaining candidates as they continue through the selection process and expressed his gratitude to all who offered their consideration and support.
The selection process for the at-large vacancy will continue as scheduled. Interviews with the remaining applicants are set for Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with a single candidate to be presented to the full Akron City Council body for a confirmation vote on Monday, April 27, 2026.
