An ordinance providing for wage increases for all city employees was approved by Council at Monday's meeting. The increases of 2 percent in 2013 and at least 1% 2014 and 2015 were negotiated with the four unions representing city employees: Civil Service Personnel Association, AFSCME, International Association of Firefighters and the Fraternal Order of Police. The compensation increases also will apply to non-bargaining employees and managers. Budget and Finance Committee Chairman Garry Moneypenny said Council will except itself from the wage increases in separate legislation.
