Tara Mosley was elected in November 2013. She is chair of the Public Service Committee and vice chair of the Parks & Recreation and Public Safety Committees and serves on the Public Utilities & Green, Housing & Neighborhood Assistance and Planning & Economic Development Committees.
Mosley attended the University of Akron majoring in Political Science/Public Policy Management then transferring to the Academy of Court Reporting studying Paralegal Studies with a Minor in Business Administration. Her past professional employment includes United States Postal Service; Akron Municipal Court bailiff; White Hat Management paralegal and board liaison; and Parms Law Firm office manager. Her civic memberships and affiliations include Secretary/Treasurer for the Northeast Ohio Joint Medical District Board of Directors, National League of Cities Board of Directors, NBC-LEO, Public Safety & Crime Prevention Steering Committee 2014, 2016 and 2018; elected to the Ohio Delegation 2012, 2016; Ohio Democratic Party member; Sierra Club Member, Emily's List member, and past National Paralegal Association member. Mosley also previously served on the NEFCO Board. Tara's Ward 5 meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. throughout the Ward.
Tara has five adult children, twelve grandchildren and a dog, Langston.
