Biography

Mike Freeman (D) has represented Ward 9 for 16 years. He is chair of the Budget & Finance  and Rules Committees and vice chair of the Health & Social Services and Public Utilities & Green Committees. He also is past president of Council, serving during a transitional period in 2015.

Freeman works for The Salvation Army. His education includes Northcoast Family Foundation; Massillon Baptist College, Bachelor’s Degree; and Kenmore High School, class of 1975. Affiliations include Northern Ohio Planned Giving Council; Hope for the Journey; Kenmore Development Partnership; ex-official, Kenmore Board of Trade; New Millennium CDC; and First Glance Youth Outreach.

Ward 9 meetings are hosted by Council Representative Freeman on the first Tuesday of the month (except Election Day), 7 p.m., at Kenmore Senior Community Center, 880 Kenmore Blvd.
