West Point Marketplace plans explained

July 21, 2015

The developers of the newly proposed West Point Marketplace say they plan to create a destination retail complex that will anchor the Wallhaven retail district for years to come. They are proposing a $25 million development where West Point Market now stands that includes a 40,000 square-foot organic foods grocery store and two additional shops adding 12,000 square feet of related specialty retail store space. The organic foods grocery store, which has not divulged its identity, has agreed to rehire all 100 West Point Market employees plus add 40 new employees when their store opens. It is widely believed the anchor tenant is Whole Foods Market.
