Street resurfacing projects approved

May 25, 2016

City Council approved spending more than $3.6 million to resurface and reseal about 100 of Akron’s collector and residential streets. More two-thirds of streets targeted for resurfacing are residential streets. The other affected streets are the more highly traveled collector streets, including portions of West Market St., Ghent and Diagonal Roads and Tallmadge Avenue. More than 44,500 tons of blacktop will be purchased for this year’s resurfacing program. Video of Monday’s meeting is unavailable.
