Sale of land to medical office developer approved

Council approved the sale of four acres of city-owned land on White Pond Drive to a developer who plans to build a 40,000 square-foot medical facility housing 40 employees. Council also amended a zoning definition to include recycling operations, which paves the way for an indoor paper recycling facility in the former Sears store at Rolling Acres. “This change is consistent with our 'green print' for building Akron into an environmentally-friendly city,” said Jeff Fusco, Planning Committee chair.
