Ward 6 Councilman Bob Otterman was congratulated by City Council with passage of a resolution recognizing him for his induction into Ohio’s Veteran’s Hall of Fame.
Otterman is a Korean War veteran where, as a Marine Corp Sergeant, he won several medals including the Purple Heart. His post-military service to country, state and community began in 1970 when we was elected to Akron City Council. In 2001, he was elected State Representative for the 45th district and served on the House Committee on Infrastructure, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs.
Governor Ted Strickland honored Otterman and other veterans an induction ceremony at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial in early November.
