Council approved an ordinance designating the old schoolhouse in Judith Bear Isroff Park as a historic landmark. Ward 8 Representative Marilyn Keith said the designation will make Federal funds available to help renovate the schoolhouse, which was built in 1870. Its history includes time as a library and as a community center. Council also approved purchasing property at 2100 West Market Street, next to the schoolhouse, to expand Isroff Park.Feb. 4, 2013 from Akron City Council on Vimeo.
