Green task force created to develop street plan

November 24, 2015

Council agreed Monday night to create a “Livable, Complete and Green Streets Task Force” whose job it will be to guide how the city plans, repairs and replaces streets in the future. The task force will be composed of experts from the fields of engineering, design, planning and sustainability along with Administration and Council representatives. “This is a small step that will provide the framework to develop streets not just for cars, but for everyone including walkers and bicyclists,” said Green Committee Chairman Rich Swirsky, who sponsored the resolution.
