Two resolutions of opposition were passed by Council at Monday's meeting. The first resolution was intended for the Division of Liquor Control stating that Council was opposed to granting a liquor license to New Tiny Tim Tavern because "the applicant has operated... in a manner that demonstrated a disregard for the laws, regulations or local ordinances of this state or any other state." The second was intended for Postmaster General Patrick Donahue asking for a delay in any postal closings until Congress addresses postal legislation. Donahue has proposed closing Akron's mail processing facility. Council's meeting follows in its entirety.
