Council agrees to delay election of officers until January 4 meeting

December 05, 2015

An ordinance that delays the election of Council officers until the first regularly scheduled meeting of 2016 was approved by Council during a special Saturday morning meeting. The ordinance was required because Council rules call for the election of officers at the last meeting in December. However, because four newly-elected  Council members - including Mayor Jeff Fusco - could not vote until they take office in January, Council chose to delay the vote.
