City Buys Trees to Restore Land Damaged by CSO Construction

May 22, 2018

Some of the trees damaged or removed by the construction of new sewers for the CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) project will be replaced beginning this summer. Council placed legislation on the consent agenda that will allow the city to bid out tree planting services. Items placed on the consent agenda are routinely passed without discussion at the next council meeting. Council also approved the purchase of 500 trees that were given away to residents during the Blue Heron Homecoming Festival earlier this month.
