Billboards, Parking and Barking

October 16, 2018

On Monday, October 15, Akron City Council passed an ordinance allowing a conditional use to install a digital billboard along I-77 at 530 Nome Avenue, after having two public hearings about the subject. The property is owned by the City of Akron and is the current home of the Good Park Golf Course. Council also decided to take additional time on the ordinance to amend/supplement the zoning code’s definitions by revising the amount of required off-street residential parking requirements. The proposed change to the dog-barking ordinance was voted down by Council.
