AKRON, Ohio (October 2, 2019) – This year, the City of Akron’s annual celebration of Halloween will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Akron residents who wish to participate in “Trick or Treat Night” may show their support by turning on their porch lights between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. that evening. Akron police patrols will pay special attention to children and families walking city neighborhoods to promote a safe and successful celebration for all.
Mayor Dan Horrigan said, "Trick or Treat provides a wonderful opportunity for our children to get outside and enjoy our community. This is one night where neighbors come together in the spirit of fun and celebrate the season. Please be cautious, and look out for one another.”
