Sommerville urges public to cooperate with police
For the first time since Council adopted a public comment period, those commenting took center stage at Monday's Council meeting. The subject was crime, particularly the shooting of 17-year old Willie Brewer outside a Copley Road convenience store. Council President Marco Sommerville appealed to all Akron residents to cooperate with police and come forward with information about who is responsible. In the following video, the public comment period begins about 24 minutes into the meeting.
