Council passed an ordinance approving a city budget for the period Jan. 1 to March 21, 2011. The temporary budget is traditionally passed by Council to allow time for comprehensive budget hearings that generally begin in February.

The public is invited to speak to Council at the end of every meeting. Speaking is limited to 3 minutes per citizen and to matters within Council's authority. Public hearings on proposed legislation will continue to be held during the regular Council meeting at 7 p.m.
