Ward Meetings:	Ward 8 meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Northwest Family Recreation Center, 1730 Shatto Ave., from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The ward meeting is preceded by a Block Watch meeting from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The purpose is to organize block groups and address neighborhood concerns. A guest speaker usually presents at both meetings.
